Designed in 1913 by New York architects Howells & Strokes, The Turk’s Head Building is a 16-story high-rise located in the heart of Providence, RI. Constructed of white brick with granite and limestone trimmings, its iconic curved façade is a well-known and beloved icon within the historic five-university town. Upon completion in 1913, the Turk’s Head Building surpassed the 1901 Union Trust Company Building to become the tallest building in the city and retained that title until 1922, when the Providence Biltmore was completed. The building is one of the oldest skyscrapers in Providence standing 215 feet tall and a prominent fixture of the city’s architectural fabric.
